Aconcagua Info

Editorial policy and sources

Our goal is to make stable mountain facts easy to distinguish from changing operational information.

Source hierarchy

Official Argentine institutions and park authorities come first for measurements, access rules and regulatory information. Scientific and established cartographic sources support geography and climate. Current expedition details come from the operator responsible for delivering them.

Dates and uncertainty

Operational claims are dated when possible. When a current official source is unavailable, the limitation is stated rather than filled with an estimate. We do not invent guide ratios, rescue guarantees, permit prices, camp services or summit success figures.

Commercial separation

Aconcagua Info explains the mountain. Current Mountain Guide programmes remain on their canonical commercial pages. This prevents an encyclopedia page from silently becoming an outdated price list.
